Avoid the ERC-20 vs TRC-20 mix-up
The classic mistake is the network mismatch. The token is called USDT on both chains, but an Ethereum address (0x...) and a Tron address (T...) are not interchangeable.
If you are sending to an exchange, open its deposit page and pick TRC-20 as the network before copying the address. Some exchanges also require a memo or tag. Check whether yours does, and enter it if so.
